When a control does not require a complex system to be carried out, it is possible to use vision sensors, which guarantee efficiency and reliability at low costs. These sensors, which do not require additional hardware and software, are configured the first time and then interact with the machine according to the settings.
In this case they are used to check the presence and size of gaskets on metal fittings.
This month we have created a system for the inspection of complex shaped pieces. Thanks to the combination of different acquisitions and their elaboration through a software of our production, it is possible to build the entire piece in a single high quality image. Moreover, innovative techniques are used for the accurate control of the holes, looking for internal porosities.
This month we present the new straightness control system for drawn bars. The system, located at the end of the line, allows to control up to 3600 bars per hour, with very high precision, and guarantees the tracking and archiving of the data of all the inspected bars.

In collaboration with COPAN, world leader in the automation of systems for biomedical laboratories, we have created a new application of chess game with a robot. The application was presented at this year's ECCMID fair in Amsterdam. The robot, using two arms, plays chess against the visitor with various levels of difficulty. The implemented software has been successful thanks to the use of Artificial Intelligence methods.
One of the challenges we won this month is an innovative system dedicated to pulleys. In particular, it checks their machined surfaces searching for porosities and other kind of defects. Moreover, it performs dimensional checks with resolution down to 0.02mm.
Imago developed for @cavagnapressofusioni a new system which checks surface defects on die-cast covers. The machine has been designed and implemented to work 24 hours a day without the operator presence. The analysis detects irregularity like blisters and small holes. We can recognize defects down to a few tenths of millimeter.
Imago developed for Gimab a new vision system for dimensional control of steel bearings. The machine has been designed and implemented to work 24 hours a day without the operator presence. The software can measure the inner and outer diameter together with the height of every single piece so it can discard all the parts that don't comply with the customer standard. The bar inspection system, which is positioned directly on the drawing line, performs 360° surface checks for defects in the bars such as cracks, dents and stains.
